Tell me Jim....that BEAK is soooo big,if she wanted to, could she really do major damage ??I saw a Hyacynth(sp) in a pet shop and he reached out to me, I was tempted to pet her beautiful head ,but that BEAK was to scary I hesitated.[ I'm really smart but I can't spell]

Awww Nino is sooooo cute in those pics
Thanks for sharing those, he looks like such a little sweetheart
Thanks Jean, Scotty and Tina
Scotty - Nino is a he. :) He's young in these pictures and the foot is him wanting me to take him where he wants to go. He's a big boy now so he doesn't do that with his foot. Like in the second pic he wants to go to the window. Today he would just fly to the window. He still does it at the window as a way of telling me he wants to go out.
Yes, he could do major damage and them some with that beak. That big beak is "one" of many reasons I use positive reinforcement.
Jim these are adorable, just so cute:heart:

Awwwwww he is beautiful, and I love they way he is telling you just what he wants.
I met a B&G the other day and those beaks are so big in person, I was compairing the beak to my hand  That magnificent bird could have taken my hand off if he had wanted to. Its awesome. And to watch them eat with that huge beak is just jaw dropping, I mean seeing that beak with one tiny little seed it had me awestruck.
Thanks Sue and Peta
Yes it's amazing to watch them eat those little tiny seeds with that big beak. And gettiing the meat out of the tiny shell without dropping it is something else.

I was totally awestruck, and seeing them in pictures you just can't imagine how big those beaks really are. I've seen a lot of macaws out and about but until I saw this one eating I didn't really take that much notice of the beak.

Gorgeous photos, Jim! And my favorite is the second one.
Thanks Shirley. I wish I could get a picture of both of them under the futon. They get under there to play and roll around, literally. It's too cute. Of course as soon as they see the camera -- nope, nada, noway, are they going to keep playing. See, they do more than fly around. I know you know that,:) but I did want others to see they get on the floor and play.
