View Full Version : Good Morning/ Afternoon??
Hi Everybody,:wavey:
I'm running late today, it's lunch time here.
What a couple of days:doh:
I resigned from my job yesterday (some of you know, my old boss made me a really good offer to join his company). My boss was really nice til he found out where I was moving to:angryfire He said he'd let me know today what he wanted me to do... I offered to go straight away (they still have to pay me a months wages) or I would work my notice and help with any training needed, can't be fairer than that.
The good news is that he was fine this morning, must have calmed down and is being really helpful, he's asked me to do some training and to stay til Thurs 26th May, I agreed. He said he understood it's time to move on and wished me well which made me feel better:wub:
Hope you all have a great day:dance:
Good Day All....Well Sue , I am glad that your boss didn`t carry on and make things uncomfortable for you , thats great ..Just think you will soon be in your new job ... :woot:
Had a busy day here and will be the same tomorrow and for a while now as the end of the financial year is looming ..I hate it , and of course our accountant ALWAYS leaves till the last day before he tells me to transfer this $$$ from this account and take so much from here and put it there , dance  a jig and "doe see doe"...:roflmao2: , and here I am running around on the 30th June like a chook with its head cut off ..  I can`t believe half the year is almost gone Oh !! my: , its so true the older you get the faster it go`s.. soon be Xmas ..:help:
Started a new book last night so am off to read for a bit , I`ll pop in tomorrow to see you all ..
Have a wonderful Day/Afternoon/Night whatever wherever you may be....:wavey:

Hi Majj,
you are soooo funny:roflmao2: :funny:
I know what you mean about accounts and accountants;) I used to have a business and I HATED doing the books hence I used to leave everything til last minute, then it would take me so long so I just chucked it all in a bag for his office to sort which cost me tons more money:eek:
Enjoy the new book, night night!:wavey:
Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening!
I received the phone call I needed so I could email the materials to the last committee member who I have had a hard getting a hold of. I was amazed that I was able to go to sleep but I did and slept very well!
I woke up feeling rested and was excited to be able to let the Research lady (goddess) know that I got the third committee member's approval on my final. YEAH!
I have a busy day that starts at 10:30 AM and goes until 7PM without too much of any breaks.
It was chilly when I woke up (40 degrees) and windy as well.
I hope you each have a wonderful day!
I forgot to mention this: Approximately 3 hours north of Twin Falls there are Heavy Snow Warnings on the border of Idaho and Montana! Winter is not over yet!

Good Morning! Sounds like LOTS going on in everyone's lives!! The boys and I JUST got up!! But we stayed up really late last night.
Troy cooked a YUMMY Mexican dinner for all of us last night at 8:30, after he and Trevor returned from watching Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie...
It was definitely worth waiting to eat late!!
Then I worked on Bride's mugs w/Ginny until well after midnight -- that's a surprise they get when they pick up their DVDs. Did three couples' mugs all at once and she and I go back and forth via the 'net 'til we are both satisfied, then she makes them for me at dealer cost.
I have an adorable picture of Skyler to post in 'Too Town this morning... Troy is sleeping in the basement where the large parrots sleep... and rather than fly upstairs this morning, Skyler chose to fly to Troy in bed! I'll get it there soon! Skyler loves Troy, and fortunately, vice versa. This relationship developed over Spring Break '05... rather surprising.
Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon, everyone. :wavey: I've been out and about filling prescriptions and doing some grocery shopping. Darn it, though. I forgot a bag of carrots for Jack. He loves to eat the baby carrots. :rotflmao: They make great treat snacks for him. I'll have to go back and get the carrots and then pick up my prescriptions.
Nice sunny day and a bit warm already. :sunshines
I hope everyone has a great day. :Blueflowe
Sue, I'm glad your soon to be ex-boss calmed down and is working with you regarding your resignation. :highfive:
Majj, accounting stuff.. yuck.
Bill, congrats on getting your dissertation to the last committee member. Do you see that light at the end of the tunnel? psst, it's not a train, I promise. :agree:
Shirley, isn't it the best when someone else cooks? :highfive:
</psst..>

Well, after my exciting weekend, I needed to rest Monday instead of the normal cleaning. So got it done today.........whew. It's amazing how fast it can get messy here. Hubby made pancakes for breakfast on Mothers Day and cleaned up the house, then all I did was prep the chicken and he and Tina did the rest for dinner. ;) They got to see what I do around here and were tired afterwards, hehehe, gee I wonder why?? :p
Sue, so glad to hear your boss is being better about you leaving. I'm sure it was a little difficult to break the news, but probably a breath of fresh air after it was done!! Congrats and well wishes for your new position!!
Shirley, glad your boys could come and visit, sounds like ya'll had a wonderful time. And yes, any meal you didn't have to cook is the best meal!! lol
Bill, I feel for you w/that cold weather still. It is 79 here now, and supposed to get up to like 86  can anyone say....whoooo hoooooo lol. Nice but a little humid from the rain, but hey, better than freezing your hiney off!!!
You all enjoy your day!!
Good Morning Everyone! We got a little snow dusting during the night before it turned to rain. The new seedlings in the woods should be flourishing this spring after all the rains they've been getting.
Shirley, Troy and I must of both been hungry for a good Mexican dinner last night.:beerchug: I made an enchilada casserole accompanied with beans, rice and a small dinner salad.
Majj, "Good Luck" with the business accounting. I have had my share of that.
Vicki, I have the same agenda you had earlier. I still have to pick up 2 more prescriptions this afternoon.
Sue, I am glad your old boss is in a better mood today. It is always much better to part on good terms. I am not one to like to burn bridges either. :goodjob:
Bill, you are so right, our cold weather is not ready to let go yet. We do need the rain and snow after so many months of drought.:highfive:
Barb, I am glad to hear you had a lovely mothers day. That was nice of them to pamper you. That can be one of the nicest gifts of all. :emot-danc
Wishing everyone a nice day.
Thanks Vicki!
Barb...I don't mind the cooler weather. I just could not stand the hot and humid weather in Texas! I melted into a puddle! LO! I would rather add clothes than to take them off! HEHE!
NOTE: I just noticed that there is a Heavy Snow Warning posted for northern Nevada, which is about 45 minutes from where I live! It did not get out of the low 50's today! I enjoy this type of weather and typically May can be a cooler month. Scooter enjoys the longer days.
