View Full Version : Good morning Sunny Sunday!
Hi everyone,:wavey:
I hope you're all having a good weekend.
We're having a traditional English Sunday lunch today, not something we do very often.
As i'm meeting my ex/new boss this evening we decided to eat earlier than normal.
Roast lamb with mint sauce, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and veggies and gravy... yum:drool:
Have a happy Sunday everyone.

I hope your day has been a lovely as mine.
Sue, your meal sounds simply delicious. Will you email me a list of your holidays so we do not leave our UK friends out. :)
Shirley, thank you, for the cute pic. That had to be adorable to watch that boxer be the ring - bearer. The bride and groom look like a lovely couple. Enjoy the family.
Bill, have a nice dinner with your mom and dad.
Majj, I love your adorable Mothers Day Greeting. I hope you feel good enough to enjoy your spacial day.
Vicki, Wishing you a wonderful mothers day. We are all happy your little Bailey has you this year.
Happy Mothers Day to all the rest that haven't checked in yet.
Thanks Jean! We did have a nice dinner at Applebee's. I am sure my parents went home for a nap but I had errands to do. I also needed to put my fan together for my office. It will keep the air moving when it is ever warm as I don't believe we have air conditioning in our new building...at least I have not seen it.
Bill, I am glad your shared a nice dinner together at Applebee's. The food there is always good.

We had a lovely weekend. Dennis shared many fun stories of his childhood with all of us last night. It makes us feel good to know our adult children have so many good childhood memories. All our parent involvement paid off. I can remember that big pool table taking up our vehicle parking in our garage, those nights one of us stayed up and supervised a camp out in the back yard or on a camping weekend in the motor home. The ponies, go carts, mini bikes, motorcycles, the dune buggy weekends in the desert and sand dunes, the camp fires and games we played together. Their swimming lessons, mountain hikes and fishing in the rivers, and beach, their rifle training classes and target practice weekends, bicycle rides. We did everything together as a family when the children were growing up. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
We all enjoyed the good steak dinner. http://photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/Emoticons/th_emot-lck-face.gif Most of all we enjoyed the kids.
Great to hear everyone had such a good day:highfive:
Jean I will email you our holidays, thanks for thinking of us:heart:

Happy Belated Mothers day to all the mom's here. We had pancakes for breakfast and then went out for pizza for a late lunch. My husband got me a fishing pole (don't worry, I asked for it) and my son got me the PBS documentary, "The Real Macaw". Great gifts!

Jean - I loved reading about your day!! We had a great time with the boys, and then Annie, after her own backyard barbeque, joined us for ours! That was nice, b/c it's been a long time since she's had time to come over. Then she and I took a walk around our subdivision with Skyler (RB2) and Sam (Corn Snake). Well, we met a very nice family with two young children (6th grade and a younger one) that Annie knows, and they were fascinated with Skyler and Sam! They plan to visit and see the "zoo" sometime, and have me photograph their children with their Jack Russell Terrier. It was fun to watch Annie teach their two kids all about snakes while watching Sam crawl in the grass. Skyler talked up a storm, which delighted everyone, and then said, "I'll be back!" several times as we left! He's becoming MUCH more social!
It is GREAT having the boys home again! Just being able to see their smiling faces is wonderful!
Shirley sounds like you had an idillic day:heart:
Tell little Annie not to eat too many double barbe's or she'll get FAT!!!:roflmao2: :roflmao2:
Shirley, I am glad you had a lovely day too. Your little Skyler is maturing and becoming quite a good socialite. Taking them out to meet people is the key. It sounds like you may have some more neighborhood children enjoying the birds soon.
Marie, is there close by fishing near you? I hope you enjoy your new fishing gear.
