Baby is out of the cage 24/7 and likes to play with his toys on the floor. With that comes the bird droppings, which I really don't mind. But, I clean my carpets twice in three months and although most comes off, I can't get the stain to come off entirely. Is there anything on the market that might help?? I have tried many stain removers for pets but that is not doing the trick?? Anyone any ideas??

I use some stuff called Quick and Bright. You spray it on and let it sit. Later you use a wet cloth to clean up the residue. It has little bacteria (Gary, all bacteria are little...) in it that eat the bird stuff.

I got it on QVC.

Don't forget Rudy.

Do you have to order it?? I'll look it up and might try that!
Thanks Gary!! How is Chloe doing?

I got it on QVC one day. I buy a lot of junk from the TV but this stuff worked good.

The round tubs is the concentrate. You mix it with water to make the liquid. I use the heavy solution.

It's always good to know of a product that is such a good stain remover. I bookmarked the link.

Thanks Gary!

It takes up wine stain. Chloe stains. Dog stains. Car grease stains. It took grease out of my t-shirt that was two years old and had been washed a number of times already.

You make a paste out of the stuff, brush it in and let it sit. Don't let it dry. Sit about 10 minutes and pop it in the washer.

This is great stuff and smells great, it's very save for cages too. I have used it for years.

This is great! I moved it to Practical Links and left a redirect, and clarified the title a little. Thanks eveyrone for the great links!

Sue,
A friend of mine had that poop off stuff and I tried it. I never took it out of my carpet, so not sure if it is the carpet...
I'll order both of them and see what works best!

I haven't actually tried it on a carpet but it works wonders on cages and toys.
2001 Trouble Shooter gets even red wine stains out but I wouldn't use it where the birds go.

There's a new product out called "Spot Shot". It's from the WD-40 company and you can buy it in the cleaning supplies section of your grocery store. It gets out grease, red wine, blood, nail polish, pet stains, you name it. It even gets OLD pet stains from years ago. (I know, I tried it on some old Jack stains and it worked.)

They show it in a spray can, but I can buy it in a pump trigger spray at the grocery store.

I have the poop off and it has taken all of it off the carpet, but then the carpet is old and not much bounce in it. :agree: Just waiting to get wood flooring.

I have wood flooring in Marlons room, it is WONDERFUL! We are getting new flooring through out the rest of the house sometime in the future lol. I am debating on if i want carpet or wood. Carpet goes better with my decor but............!!
