UPS delivered today. I received a lovely potted rose bush with 15 beautiful pink blooming roses and buds. :heart:

Next came a dozen filet mignon 6 oz bacon wrapped steaks from Omaha Steaks. :heart:

Then a lovely gift certificate arrived in the mail from my sweet husband to share a week end at a lovely hot springs spa in the Parisian room in Ashland OR. :heart:

Tomorrow our son and his wife will be arriving from AZ to spend mothers day with us. :heart:

Wouldn't that be fun if we could all have a BoF meet up and share a good steak dinner. :) Maybe, we can put one together in 2006.

baked potato w butter (or) sour cream & chives
garlic toast
salad

with New York cheese cake - which I forgot to mention came packaged with the dozen steaks.

I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful hubby, and what a surprise it was. I mentioned last year I would like to stop by and check that spa resort out for a night or two when we were near Ashland which is about 130 miles away. That was the last time we discussed it. :heart: :wub: :heart: I will be sure to take a lot of pics when we go. He made reservations for July.

You sure area a blessed mother! Its another crappy, cold, rainy weekend in NH. I'm getting so sick of this. My husband and oldest son were suppossed to go fishing today, but the weather is preventing that. Tomorrow, Mothers day, we're going out for pizza. Since being on Weight Watchers, I haven't had pizza much but have such a craving for it. My oldest son already gave me my gift: the video of PBS's "the Real Macaw". Very good video, I'd love to take a trip like that, see the rainforest. My son jokes that I'd be saying "step up" to the wild birds and he's probably right.

Jean, you are a very special mom, to some wonderful kids. Your hubby's not so bad, either. He gets extra bonus points for remembering you wanted to go to that spa.

As I woke up this morning my first thought was how happy my sweet hubby was to remember my wanting a spa weekend. We used to do that after his severe heart attack when his right coronary artery burst. His Cardiologist suggested a good therapist in Palm Springs for some leg therapy at a spa to help his circulation.That gave us a chance to make it a weekend in Palm Springs or neighboring Desert Hot Springs. Once you have had such a lovely relaxing experience it makes you long for it. We haven't been back to a spa for about 15 years.

I wish you were all here to sit down to our steak dinner with us. Jeff and Sue, he iced tea and red wine both sound like the finishing touches.

I forgot to mention I just whipped up a strawberry topping for the New York Cheesecake. I'm getting hungry already.

Marie, your pizza sounds delicious, have an extra bite for me. My favorite is thin crust pepperoni. I am sure you will love that video. That is a lovely gift for a bird mom. Step up, I love that one! :heart:
