News about jobs.... i'm meeting my ex boss at the weekend and he's offered me a fantastic package, I didn't realise I was worth that much:roflmao2: :roflmao2:

Also my gut feeling was right my company IS for sale/sold:eek: so my guess was right.

MORE good news.... Dave's taken the job and managed to negotiate a FULL YEARS trial period which means he can take redundaucy after a year if he wants to:highfive: :beerchug:

In the American/English words thread Shirley mentioned you don't have a word "redundant".
Basically it means your job no longer exists and you have to leave but taking redundancy means you get paid so many weeks wages. The government set a minimum you can get which is something like a weeks pay for every year you worked there.
Some companies (Dave's included) offer an enhanced package for loyalty etc.
Dave's was a year and a half's salary, this means he can work for a year and leave and still take the money so we've got nothing to lose.
If he stays on til retirement , he won't get the redundancy but it gives us a choice.:foot-tap:

Good Morning All!:wavey:
Been a busy day so far here, treated myself to breakfast at my fav spot, did some stuff outside, while listening to the bird outside welcome the new day,,,
and then started doing some work on my aquaria .water changes etc.want everything to go well for my wife around this "zoo" while i'm away in the Keys ,starting this Sunday nite,when i leave.
Also , need to tear up my reef tank, so i can liberate a fish i need to return to my buddies SW shop,so i can return from the Keys ,with some certain goodies, that i will not be able to have last long in the tank, This fish will munch on every single thing i plan on bringing back,,,,:( I tried to get him out yesterday, but after a hr + of being Mr."please just go in my net now" guy,,,I'll need to remove a lot of rockwork/coral to allow myself half of the tank to block off, and have enought room to corral this dern fish,,hate to take him back after having him for 4-5 yrs. but i need to,,,
Oh well ,back to work around here. got a timeframe to adhere to, Non i start tearing the tank about, that'll give me a 3 hr window to get the fish out, and the tank back to sorta normal,,,LOL

Good Friday morning everyone. I got woke up by Jack barking at the neighbor's lawn service, which woke me up as well. So, I'm starting out slow and easy today. My daughter wants me to go wedding dress shopping with her later today. She's picked out 3 dresses she wants me to see. She'll be getting married in November, here on the beach in FL.

Just doing my norm stuff around the house. Got the cages cleaned yesterday, so not much else to do, besides trim beaks/nails tomorrow. My oldest daughter has fast pitch softball practice tonight, so that's about the excitement for today, lol.

Any Mothers have plans for Mothers DAy??? I've wanted to go to the Precious Moments Park (http://www.preciousmoments.com/?sid=19B50014-9D6B-4B4B-815C-679931522E3B) in Mo. It's been a while since I've gone, and weather would be wonderful if we went tomorrow. I love the art galary w/murals all around, and of course the store, hehehe Hope we get to go, don't know what plans are here ;)

I have a wedding to film tomorrow... a big one; Trevor arrives tomorrow, Troy arrives Sunday morning... and stays for a couple of days... Trevor is home for the summer.

:highfive: Well, I got the lil bugger, like i posted on TRT, and just told Shirley, i netted the fish i needed to return to the fish shop , so i can have certain other creatures i hope to bring back , on my return from the Fla. Keys next week. Short story: took 2+hrs, a decent amount to tank upheaval, but i got him, tank is back to "normal"(i call it "re-arranged"LOL) my mess is cleaned up, rewarded myself with a extra tasty beer of choice, now to clean up a lil more and prep the fish for the ride, after i clean up myself Catching a bird is ez, (ask Greg LOL;) ) a fish that had overdrive and can swim like the wind, in a tank that has a lot of stuff in it, not allowing for net maneuvers easily, is a challenge in itself,,,
Be back here after my trip to the shop,,,,

Yes, Barb. My daughter wants to get married on the beach in Clearwater. Her fiance's family has a condo on the beach.

We finished our shopping and we've purchased a wedding gown. The dress is gorgeous. She's going to make a beautiful bride.
