Happy Birdie Mothers Day!
http://photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/graphics/th_mothersdaybirdanimom05.jpg
Those of you that have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end
soothing their frightened, sick or lonesome bird, Telling
it "It's OK mommy is here"
This is for all the mothers who show up at work with a tiny hole in their blouse that their companion bird made.
For all the mothers that have gone to the store with a poop splotch on their clothes.
This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on
their refrigerator doors. They read in case of emergency what vet to contact.
What food is ready to be given and what may be needed while they are away.
This is for all the mothers who sat down with their parrots and
took the time to properly train their Parrots how to be a good flock
member while showing them they love them.
This is for all the mothers who go with out things so their birds can have
the toys, and food and vet care they need.
For all the mothers who say good night my sweet baby as they tuck their
parrot in for the night.
This is for all the mothers who try to teach their parrots to talk and
learn to communicate with the family.
This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when
a little voice calls "Mama"" even though they know it is their parrot and they know it's alright and only wanting you to talk or play with them.
This is for mothers whose birds have come to them out of a sad situation. They have spent countless months teaching it what a good mother is as she nurture's it to good health, while teaching it how nice life can be with her protection and love.
For all the mothers who have been bitten until they bleed and understand that their bird is just doing what comes natural.
What makes a good Mother? Is it patience, Compassion,
A good cook?
Most of all, it's the love that is in her heart and all of the above.
My Mothers Day gift to all the birdie mothers. :flower: 2005
