Fruitloop is the female correct? The reason I ask is because I also have male and female Sun Conures and the female has more green on her wings than my male does but she is also almost five years older than the male. Just wondering if this is a trait the females have in this species.

Your birds are beautiful and I love their names  I look forward to hearing and seeing more of them :D

Beautiful pictures. We have a Sun Conure too. His name is Bailey.

You know, Bailey's food smells like fruit loops. :-)

Chuck, we LOVE pictures on this board, especially of beautiful birds like yours. I have a friend that has a sun conure that is the best bird. A lot of people think they are loud but his isn't really. It can be when it wants to be but is just the sweetest bird with everyone.

Tell us some more about your birds and bring on the pictures.

I'll post some more soon. I don't know what there sexes are. I've seen male and femal breeding pairs and Fruity has a lot more green on his wings. And the real kicker is his black feet which Jenday"s have. His head is flatter while Gizzy's is rounder. As for the yelling they get excited when they see me for the first time but calm down when I get them out. After they have had their attention time they are relatively quiet, only making their little rasberry sounds. They have been discribed as feathered puppies. Gizzy is the busiest little bird, he loves to tear up my computer keys. If anyone needs their keys put back on, I've become an expert. Gizzy cutest thing is when he flys over and gets in my shirt to go to sleep. All my birds would rather be on me than in their cages. He also likes to make a cave out of the couch pillows.

Hi every one this is my first time on a forum. I have had my bird rainbow since oct 2006.I caught her in a tree .I had been seeing her and hearing her all summer screeching.I talked to the people a work about her one person said when it started to get cold outside that she would come to me.Well she did.I showed her some chicken food and she slowly came closer to me .Whenshe got close enough i caught her with my hand.Ouch she started bighting me.I stuck her in my sweat shirt. I have never had a bird so I only had a chichen cage so thats where i put her. I told the people at work and one lady gave me a old bird cage. The next day another lady at work gave me a rod iron big bird cage.I scrubed it down and thats where she is .I sit by her cage every chance i get. I went on line a found out she is a jenday counure she is beautiful, I named her handsome but my husband started calling her rainbow. So thats her name.Gotta go for now she is calling me .See ya Penny

Welcome to Birds of a Feather, Penny!

What a nice story about how you and Rainbow came together! That's wonderful!

I'd like to invite you to post your introduction at the link here where everyone will see it, and you'll have your own thread (collection of posts) for your introduction.

Hi Chuck!

I mist/shower him frequently however, he is healthy and kept in a clean surroundings so he really has no where to get dirty unless he occasionally carries some lipstick around from all my kisses  or if he eats some spaghetti with a little sauce on it.

Healthy toos are more powdery then dirty, frequent shower/sprayer mists help keep that under control.
