About 10 years ago, my parents lived in Jacksonville on a little creek. I was standing at their back window and out in their back yard, were all these big, beautiful geese.

I had never seen anything like these guys.

I called my mother over and she was just absolutely taken by them. She got out some bread and proceeded into the back yard to feed them. They were honking and waging their tails.

Some of these guys were almost as tall as her when they stuck their heads up. When they saw that she had bread, they all came charging over to her. I was afraid they were going to peck her or something. She wasn't afraid at all. They were all around her, honking and squawking and she was just laughing and having the time of her life.

I knew nothing about birds back then but I will always remember how tame those guys were and how my mother just had such a great time with them. I have some pictures around here somewhere.

When we were in Minneapolis, we saw them every where. Keep the pictures coming. I love these guys.

ah, Canada Geese. We get loads of em here, they migrate here for the...winter or summer, I can't recall! for the winter I think....?!

They migrate for the winter :D

We have tons by us too! we just love feeding them!

Ive thought about framing a few of my pics but :foot-tap: I have no where to put them :rotflmao:

Well we have a programme here called spring watch and autumn watch which is on for 2 weeks at those times of year, and they electronically tagged some canada geese and tracked them from UK, to Ireland, to Canada. Some died, some lost their tags, but yeah it was really cool!
