View Full Version : Annie's Angel hatches her first baby!

This is Annie's Angel, and she finally hatched her first baby yesterday, April 29!

Annie is our 9-yr-old next door neighbor, and Angel is Kilroy's daughter.

Annie has been caring for birds since she was 8 yrs old, weighing, hand-feeding, clipping wings, and teaching tricks to our parrotlets and Bourke's. She got Angel in Dec of '03 and her papa Bourke's last September.

Awwww, it's adorable. That has to be such a joy for Annie and her family. I love the expression on Angel's face, she is almost saying is there a reason you have to take a picture of my new baby.

She is thrilled beyond description! She told me the next egg won't hatch.

I said, "Oh yes, in two days it will hatch."

She said, "No, it won't hatch. I candled it a few days ago. It won't hatch."

Hmmm. OK... I candled it. Ya know... she's right, it's not gonna hatch... but... I told her to leave it in there 4 more days JUST IN CASE!

Annie's a smart girl! And so proud of her baby!!

Angel and her baby are doing really well! The baby is about two weeks old now and the cutest thing ever! I was really thrilled to see a baby in the nest box.

What a precious picture. How adorable to see that precious little baby cuddled in Annie's hands. :wub:
