Hi everyone,:p
I just wanted to introduce myself and my little guy Marlon. Marlon is a 6 month old Congo Grey. We live in Michigan, but marlon was born and raised in California. I purchased him when he was 5 weeks old and had to wait 9 weeks for him to be weaned, before he could come home to me on an airplaine :emot-danc . Let me just tell ya, "THAT WAS THE LONGEST 9 WEEKS OF MY LIFE!
Marlon is my little buddy that i have long waited for. I have wanted one of these little guys (along with a Macaw) for 15 years and am finally able to be owned by one!
I previously posted in the Macaw section, im planning on getting one but not for probably another year or so. I'm gonna enjoy these baby days as long as i can!
This is such a great forum!! I have been glued to it reading all your guys stories and looking at all the great pics that you have all posted of your beautiful birds.
Heres a pic of Marlon, i hope this works!

We're SO GLAD you found us!
I tried to fix your pics for you so they would show up... but... you'll have to do it from msn yourself as it turns out. Photobucket has a nice tutorial explaining now, but I don't see such a tutorial on msn... I'll bet it's there once you log in.
Marlon is absolutely gorgeous! Do you know if he's a male or female? What's his date of birth? My Sammy hatched May 1, 06, and Holly above is a 6/2/03 baby.
Marlon looks a little bit like a boy, but not sure.
WELCOME!! :wavey:
Hi~:wavey: I'm glad you found us. I can't wait to hear more about your beautiful Marlon. He's adorable in his pics.
I've been trying to fiddle with them too. I use Photobucket.
http://www.photobucket.com (it's simple) to use and pics show up right on the forums.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
My computer is having problems and i can't log into photobucket. I tried to put my pics on there before i tried msn.
The breeder said that Marlon is a boy. I put a deposit down on him requesting a boy. I even payed $25 for dna testing that i have no clue if they did our not. I have no clue, he kinda looks like a boy and then kinda looks like a girl sometimes. I will know more once he goes through his first molt! I definately will know if in 7 years he lays an egg lol :rotflmao:
I don't know his exact date of birth, but i know he was born in march

The breeder should have a DNA certificate if he was sexed. DNA sexing always comes with a certificate... I'd ask her for it, and it should have the legband number on the certificate. So he's about 2 mos or so older than Sammy! :emot-danc

Hi and welcome to the family, Your pics of Marlon are brilliant, I love them all especially the one of him looking in the mirror. Brilliant.
Can't say I blame you for making the most of Marlons baby days they go so quick. Bucc will be 2 in January and it only seems like yesterday when he was a little tiny thing. Now he's a bit of a monster, but a lovable one.
Photoshop seems to be very slow at the moment, but it really is very easy to use.
