This morning was the morning I had been a bit worried about, we had to take Jess back to the Vets. The news was great. Her leg is healing well, she is able to walk on it now but still has a limp. She has some muscle loss on her right back leg and the vet thinks this is due to the fact that she has been a lame on that leg for a while. He checked her heart out and for a dog her age it is fairly good, not brilliant but considering her age she is in great shape. We are going to keep taking her in for her check ups every 6 months, that is more for my peace of mind than the vets recommending it. I panic each and every time I take her to the vets, purely because of her age but am so relieved when we bring her out with a good report.

I would like to say to everyone a very big THANKS for all your kind words and all of the positive thought that were sent this way. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Today I'm like a kid in a candy store,

Thanks so much everyone, I'll let you all in on a secret now, she had me real worried there this time. For the last week I've slept propped up in a chair to stop her from climbing the stairs during the night, but its been worth it and I would do it again. She's still not allowed to go for walks but that won't worry her as she can't manage much now, she's quite happy to strut her stuff round the garden, when she wants to go out she lets me know, Usually in the middle of the night. Bless her.

I never saw myself as doing anything for her, She has seen me through some pretty tough times and I just saw it as me having a chance to help her through some tough times. But thank you for saying those really nice and kind things.

Peta,

I am so happy to hear that Jess is on the mend. You have been such a great mum sleeping in the chair to be with her.

Well do to you both.

Loads of love

Thanks Ang, She is on the mend now and is starting to feel herself again, She still isn't eating too well, and to make things worse Rex has stopped eating, its almost as if he's doing it in sympathy for her. I am managing to get some food down them by feeding it to them on a spoon
