Greg, our leader here at BoF, took these shots recently while diving in the Florida Keys...

He posted them over on our sister board, thereeftank.com aka TRT.

Excellent pictures! Thanks for the link :)
I wonder what is clinging on to the fish in the last picture?

That sure is a nasty looking sky there Greg  I can see why you cut your trip short.

He answers that question in post #25, 26, and 27 -- including the ID of that brilliantly patterned blue fish... the Scrawled Cowfish, Acanthostracion quadricornis

He ID'd the "cling-on" as an Isopod of some sort.

Look here for a definition and photo of an
Isopod (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopod)

Yup, those are some great pics,,,,Thanks Shirley, for linking them.
I've only went out diving with Greg one time,,,and as the boat was going up and down in the swells,,Greg was known to say ,all the way out to the dive site, "it's not that bad out here, i've been in worse",,,(not too many if at all , other boats that went out that day)well so was i (been in worse seas), but it was on the way back from a dive(s),when the seas kicked up, or came up from a dive, and found that a storm had parked itself over us while we were down under.

 I've had one scary storm boating incident and believe me, that was enough to make me watch for those freak storms that suddenly appear.

I've only really been w/ Greg on one day of diving, and taken almost the same pics of the things he took, or at least seen the subjects and areas he's used his camera on(it does not help to know we had the identical cameras:doh: )And from what i've seen that anyone had to work with picture taking-wise, i am always amazed to see how well Greg's pics come out. (Greg will say he takes a lot of pics and only a few are worthy of being "good",plus he gives Photoshop some credit to "work over" some of the pics, to correct a thing or two)My last dive trip, i used a lot of tips Greg gave me prior, and it help immensely in my shots.
Greg is one of the best "non -pros" i've seen in underwater photography IMO,and i strive to be one day, a fraction as good (or lucky as he has called it) of a U/W photog as Greg is.

Plus seeing my air tanks, and dive gear bag only 10 feet from my computer here does not help either,,,,LOL

Or the Fla fish in my aquariums upstairs for that matter,,, :funny:
