In the body of your message, click on the image button. It has a yellow background and mountains in the foreground.

When it opens up, just paste the URL in the white text field, then click OK and your image will appear in the body of your message.

Hit your enter key and you will then be able to type below your image.

If you aren't sure which is the image button, you will see the words "insert image" when you roll your mouse over it.

If you want to upload an image to the bird forums server, then look below your "Post New Thread" or "Reply" box and you'll see a rectangular button called "Manage Attachments". Click this button.

It will bring up a Browse button. Click the Browse button. Now you can view the hard drive of your own computer.

Find the directory (folder) on your hard drive where you have the file stored that you want to upload. Keep in mind that many members are on dialup, not High-speed Internet accounts, so try to keep your files under 80 KB as a courtesy to everyone. You can easily upload a 5"x7" file that is under 80 KB.

Click the file you want to upload, and its name will appear in the text field.
Next click "Open".

Now click "Upload".
Wait for the upload to finish, then click "Close this window".

A thumbnail of your file will appear, and it will enlarge when members click the thumbnail.

Why is it a thumbnail? Because the thumbnail will load very quickly and it gives members a choice whether or not to view the larger version or not.

Remember, if you upload several images, those on dialup take longer to download all the images, so the thumbnails download very quickly for them, and they can view them in the enlarged view one at a time, thus saving them lots of download time.
