Hi everyone! I just found the forums and joined. I have a quick question to start with and hoping someone can help me. What kind of feathered friend is this one?

See that's the thing, I don't know what he is, well besides the fact of always being my baby. I have tried to find a picture of something that looks like him without much luck.

Hi and welcome to BoF :wavey:

From what Brandy & Peta have said and seeing the pic of a Slender Billed Conure, I have to agree also.

Please do share more pics and info about your bird. Do you have a name for him/her??

Hi Shannon :wavey:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/Landscape/FH000008.jpgWelcome!
to Birds of a Feather. So glad to have you join us.

I agree with the rest, you have a slender billed conure. they tend to vary in different shades of green, some darker, some more olive and some more of a yellowish/green.

Conures can make wonderful companion parrots. I'd love to hear more about your's.

Here is a couple links that explains more about the slender billed conure.

I have three rolls of film that were all pictures of him. I had them put on photo cds when they were developed. I'll have to get them out and upload some. There are some cute ones of him playing with his ball and trying to pull a star shaped hairtie from my daughter's hair. She was giggling through the whole thing. I also recorded a short movie on my webcam of him playing that I'll see if I can get on the site. I'm not sure how to do that though.

Great, just upload any pics. Then you can add them below Duff's story or I will be glad to add them to his story that has been moved to Close to the heart forum. http://www.thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=40571#post40571post40571

Welcome to the bird forum and glad you were able to get your question answered. We have a conure as well. A sun conure. His picture is my avatar. Can't wait to see that video you described.
