Hi Gary, I just read your post on Elvie's guestbook. I have to say, you always have such a beautiful way of wording things. I have always felt Portland area is beautiful. Now I will think of it as "The Promise Land". :heart:


I am located in southern Oregon in view of Mt Shasta which is snow capped year around and located in far northern CA near the Oregon border.

We met a lady in Minnesota that was from Oregon. I told her that people in Florida think of Oregon as the promised land. She laughed and said she knew people that thought of Florida the same way.

You know Moses went up on Mt. Hood and was looking down at Portland when he declared this to be the Promise Land.
