This is Tucker! He was hatched 10/21/04.
This is his 12-wk photo.

He shares a parrot cage with two Bourke's parakeets.

And here he is at 3-1/2 weeks when we brought him home! (he'll hate me for this!)

I can sorta see why he'd be upset with you Shirley LOL
Glad he grew into those feet! Not exactly a "good feather" day for most birds at that time.:funny:
Turned into quite a cutie tho,,,
Will my soon to be new Bourkes ,benefit from being next/near the 'tiels i have? (m/f, in separate cages) prob where the new baby will end up ,more nearer the 'tiels ,than on the side of the room , with the Big Birds,,,,
hmmm, other than the senegal ,and the amazon,my bird room is turning into being of mostly Aussie descent,,,:scratchch
When my sister went to Australia w/her hubby (his work-related trip,) he opted to go to coach seating, and in saving that $$,made it able for my Sis to go along, both cheaper for his company than just him in 1st class,,,
so needless to say, i think my sister was real tired of me telling her: "pics of 'tiels and 'toos please! she fulfilled my request very nicely, with loads of pics of 'toos in the wild at parks, and some even chewing up homes where she visited,,,LOL:eek:
Have seen lots of pics of her with most every native bird there was over there,,wished i woulda stowed away with them LOL

Well, our Bourke's seem to be fearless about who they fly near  silly birds! They don't seem to realize Holly could have their heads and would fly right into her cage!! :yikes:

The only reason Tucker is able to live with the two Bourke's in that cage is we started them all out as youngsters. Now Ginny-gin gives him what-for every now and then, but ordinarily, it would be the other way around.

They have one more feeding station than there are birds, or it wouldn't work, and they don't squabble much.

As for cage placement... I'd say near the 'tiels but just so long as the Bourke's doesn't make a trip to or inside the big parrots' cages. They are non-aggressive and fearless... like a toddler walking across the interstate.
