Hello everyone

Hi all glad to be here. I recently ot a white faced cockatiel. unfortunatly do to my current livign conditions I cant bring him/her home yet. but I visit often to take care of and spend quality time with him. I saw him in the pet store and we were getting attached to each other after quite a few visits. I thought I would have to pass him up and just wait for another that struck me to come along after my home was finished being renovated but a friend of mine said she would hold on to the bird until I could take him home so I wouldnt have to worry about him being sold to someone else. I checked first with the store they would have only held him for a week and it would have cost me extra to do so.

I am surprised at how fast he is picking up on things and doesnt seem to be bothered any by all the changes going on around him. Even with training I thought it would take two or three times as long as it has. For instance I thought I would have to slowly ween him off a seed diet and onto a pellet one but he seems to like the pellet food even more then the seed!

I am currently leaning towards the name Nalo for him/her.

Shirley, Mage has been out of her hurricane damaged home in FL since last year when the hurricane hit so badly. It caused major damage. Hopefully, she can get back in it before a new season arrives.

OMG that's horrible! I can't imagine being displaced that long. From the panhandle area or the SE coastal area or?

I will be heading up to my friends with a bunch of goodies for the birds. My friend also has a white faced tiel. Shirley I live in Florida. As for pics My firneds mom took some pics with her digital camera the day I got my fid. I think I will try to get a few more like one of when we go beak to nose with each other.
