New to the forum...

Hi everyone,
Blake gave me the link to this forum and I finally got the time to stop by and check it out.

My name is Nancy and I'm a 37 year old mom of a 12 year old girl.
Two years ago we saw this beautiful parrot in one of the pet stores I go to. Never had heard of an Eclectus and so I was very suprised to see this beautiful bird sitting there. Right away we bonded so I decided to by him. We called him Baby.
Baby has been with us now two years and wow, it has been an experience. Baby is a very beautiful, kind and loving bird. He has become a huge part of our family. His bond with me has grown over the years and he is just like a little kid. He loves to sit with his mom...LOL
Baby does talk and says words or sentence like, " Mom, come here", "Step up", "Mom, come on", etc...He is a very good talker.
He loves to hang around with me and loves road trippping...LOL Anyway, I hope to find some imformation on ekkies and meet some others who want to share their love for birds!

With two Eclectus families here now, we just might need to add an "Eclectus Forum"! Meanwhile, post his pics and all about your Baby in Miscellaneous Medley.

Awesome that there is a Ekkie forum now. Yes, I have lots of questions about ekkies and hope to find the answers to it.

Not too long ago I had started researching Ekkies, and know a breeder here local to me and told her to let me know when she has a male SI baby.

Besides an Ekkie as my new addition, I am also getting a B&G Macaw.
