I'm getting sappy

I just have to tell you all something. Over the last few months, I have run into problems on two lists. The first one is a personality problem with the list owner. It's a long story, i'm happy to tell it if you email me at BirdMomMarie@aol.com. Anyway, being off that list is best for me. Then, i have been friendly with alot of the aol bird board people. We've moved a quadriplegic from one state to another. We've sent money to people, held feather drives to raise money, had "baby showers" (that is FID babies),. etc. The problem with this list is not just me, it's the whole list. Another long story but I've gotten to the point that I wanted to ditch the whole comptuer. When you sit here crying, can't sleep, thats just not healthy. I know in my heart this is NOT a problem of my doing but it just was not fun any more. My husband was concerned, as he should be. Then, I'd come here and everyone is so nice. There hasn't been any backstabbing that I know of, no name calling, nasty emails and I have not lost a wink of sleep over anyone on this board. I just want to say thank you to everyone: the owners, the moderators, the members. I'm still trying to keep everyone straight and eventually, I will. You guys are a great group of people and I'm honored to be a part of you all!

I am NOT shy at all, so I will speak up. That's what got me in trouble in the first list, tho I spoke up in private to the owner!

Marie, this board was created for a reason. A very positive reason. None of that stuff will happen here, and Greg, along with the rest of the admin here, will see to it that it doesn't. I've been a member of thereeftank.com since Jan of 2000, which was also created for similar reasons. It started very small, just as this board is doing. It is now over 10,000 members. Greg owns that board. Believe me, it's membership has remained and it has grown, and it's been nothing but good things and positive returns, as will this board prove to be.

Do communicate with us, directly to us. And have no fear for communicating -- there are no grudges here for communicating what you need to communicate. And leave all your old baggage behind.

NhMarie, I totally understand, I'm pretty much at the same point It may take a bit for me to get into another forum full swing but I really like it here and everyone seems genuinely nice so I look forward to being a long time member here. :D Leah
