These were taken on April 14... Skyler had a ball! Getting situated in the falls was a little trickier than I'd planned... for me and Steve, not Skyler. We had to climb above them, then trek our way down to them... Skyler's only complaint was getting splashed by drops of water every now and then... other wise, he was content... the noise didn't faze him at all.

These are in sequence...
First, we had to walk there through the golf course...

Thanks! I'm making an Easter card out of one of the magnolia pics for her... she doesn't know yet that we "borrowed" her tree! ;) She's in her early '80's.

Thanks Anne and Jean,

Jean - I thought you meant the last three of all of them 'til I realized you hadn't yet seen the 2nd set... All his waterfall pics are "thinking and planning" expressions! He never did just sit there and stare at the water or sky or whatever. He was really busy figuring out getting from one rock to another... I think I threw 30-40 pics away!

The golf cart belonged to an elderly guy and he was quite amused by Skyler.

That golf cart pic was pretty cute. He's riding in style!

Elvie would of been frightened of those golf clubs.

I love the photos!

I must admit though. When I read your reply where you said "All his waterfall pics are "thinking and planning" expressions!" I smiled from ear to ear. (I bolded thinking and planning) That is exactly what was going through my mind while looking that the pictures. Skyler is one lucky bird to be able to experience these things.:agree:

It was really neat, Jim! He had no "fear" at all, no hesitation... although being splashed wasn't his idea of "fun"... but all "thinking" expressions... nothing like the "aren't I pretty" poses... No boredom while there... just figuring out how to step and hop from rock to rock... no vocalization, just thinking... and he never slipped of "fell". As he leaned hard to his left, he threw that wing up and it righted him immediately. The other wing stayed down.

When he was "finished" in his opinion, he flew to Steve's shoulder, and when I said, "one more shot" and Steve asked him to step up, he gently chewed his finger (skyler chews rather than bites, usually) and he chewed at the 2nd request, so we were done. He made his feelings clear and we honored them. Before, when he flew up to Steve's shoulder, he'd step right back up on his finger and be placed on the rocks again, no balking whatsoever. But when he was done, he was done. Like, there's nothing else to see here, and I'm getting splashed. Let's go! :funny:

Some of the pics I didn't post were of his backside with head down climbing around and such.
