Does anyone know anything about Lineolated Parakeets or Ringnecks? I'm doing some more research on these babies. Any info would be great. Anne
Peta has some Lineolated parakeets here is a post and some cute pics of hers. She would be a good one to answer questions about them.

(Lineolated Parakeets)
I understand just the last few years breeders here in the US are beginning to breed and raise this species. They are rapidly becoming a popular species. I have seen them locally, quite recently when I stopped at our avian vets office. She has a pair in her lobby. They are very quiet, entertain themselves well and need plenty of wood to chew on. I was impressed with the species.
Here is additional information. http://members.tripod.com/patrann/Beschrijving.htm
(Indian Ringneck)
I know people that have one or two and are very happy with the species. They are truly beautiful and vibrant in color.

Thanks ladies-sorry to keep you up so late answering my questions. How's the weather by you? This morning was cold and dark, we actually had some sleet for about an hour or so. Some snow towards the northwest of us, bout a half hour away.
This afternoon the sun wanted to come out, but it was still very cold. Boy, what a difference from last weekend, in the mid 70's, we were ready to open the pool! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thanks for the info. Anne
Hi Anne, It's been cold, and cloudy all day and just started raining. We've had
rain/ snow mix predicted for most of the week. Like the old saying says, April showers will bring May flowers. I am so ready for some springtime sunshine.

Hi Anne, I have two Linnies, they are brilliant little guys, very quiet and happy to play among themselves. My two make such a wonderful little chirp, they are freindly and are supposed to love to chew. When they come out the haven't chewed anything YET!!!! lol. no really they are great.
Please feel free to PM me if you need any help and I will try to answer anything I can.
Oh I have NEVER had a bite from one of my linnies, not even a little nip, even when one of them managed to get behind a speaker and couldn't manage to get out, he was scared, but I just reached right down there and he was just happy to get out of the corner, no nips at all.
