Most of you know me...but here's for those who find us and don't.

Married to the best guy in the world (for me, that is), Steve...we met in college, but remet 26 yrs later  Have two of the best sons in the world (besides Ginny's) Troy and Trevor, 23 and 19 respectively, both at IU, one a sophomore, one in grad school, and I don't know how many birds we have at the moment.

See our Collage linked below to meet some of them, and Tucker 'tiel is all grown up now.

Holly (CAG) will be 2 in June, and has claimed ME as her favorite person in the world, but has allowed Ginny and one of her sons to pet her. She will step up for pretty much anyone, just don't touch her.

Skyler, (RB2) loves *almost* everyone, and was 2 in February. He just flies away if he doesn't "like" you.

Our Opaline (Rosy) Bourke's Australian Grass Parakeet Kilroy was our first bird together -- and is Steve's "girl". She's 4 now and we thought she was a boy when he named her. She's an Australian Grass Parakeet.
(see the collage linked below) She's an awesome bird!

There are more...finches, parrotlets, green rumps....

A Mini Schnauzer 9 years old name Sonja
A Humane Society rescue kitty Christy 8 yrs old
Neither of whom have the slightest interest in the birds, although we are very careful anyway. They are both terrified of the three large parrots.

Two saltwater tanks: 125-gal Fish-only, 120-gal Reef tank. Visit our sister site, http://thereeftank.com

I was an elementary school teacher for many years and now have my own video production / photgraphy business. :camera: Steve has been a high school teacher since 1973.

I hope you enjoy yourselves here at Birds of a Feather!

Just a formal hello here Shirley! And want to say again, Thanks for all the hard work everybody involved in this board has put into it:goodjob:

I've known Shirley for a number of years(feels like she is a old friend) thru our sister board "The Reef Tank" , and after first talking and then meeting found we are on the same "page " as far as our pets are concerned, and i believe deeply respect each others friendship.

you're kidding.........Fayetteville?? How cool, other than the fact she don't care for birds, lol

I live 15 from there ;)

so, is she a 'whoooo pig suie' fan?? It was hard to get me to say that for the longest time, that is until you go to a game and feel like an idiot for not doin it, expecially when they are winning :woot: lol

Guess we are finding more in common as we go :dancing:

I've never been there... too far to drive... can't bring the birds... since they can't stay at my sister's house... I might fly out sometime for a 2-4 day visit... sometime... in which case I'd HAVE to meet you, Barb, and your lovely Greys!! :)

My sis has only lived there for 2 yrs, and moved there from Columbia, MO.

She has two teenagers and a hubby and a cat.
