it's windy with showers and not too warm :(

I have college this evening. Last week we had a test.... most of us only answered about 30 questions out of 70!! mostly becuase we hadn't covered everything and didnt' know the answers, but in anycase, I didnt get past q32 - we only got 1 hour!!
I mean... "how many IRQ's are there" HOw do I know! I don't know what IRQ is... maybe I do but I forgot...
and "name the 2 categories of printer" ... hmmm. dot matrix and..... modern???!!!

We were so fed up with basil hurling her food dish on the floor every day, just after putting it there, that this morning we put it down really low (but not under where she normally sits of course!!!) so wonder what she'll do - throw it across the cage instead I suspect but we'll see.......!

Good Morning! I hear you Sue on catching up on work! I had to catch up on sleep first! :p

Kristie -- remember, the parrots are responsible for replanting the forests and prairies... so hurling food is part of their job... :D Can you get some lock-down food dishes?

It's 45 degrees; sure do hope it warms up.

One of our young Bourke's found an excellent home yesterday... I could tell because Skyler totally approved of the couple. He either instanly likes or instantly dislikes someone, and more often than not will fly away from someone new. Not this couple! He was nuts about them, and they were definitely bird people! They emailed me within 2 hrs of taking the Bourke's, had already named him Taz, so they are happy new parents. They've had birds before (obviously!)

You all have a grand day! :emot-danc

Good Morning All!

I did not get to sleep as much as I wanted to last night. I completed my last two chapters of my dissertation last night at about 11:30PM!!!!

This means I only have to wait for my dissertation committee to review it and then submit my paperwork to schedule my final oral defense of my findings!!!! :woot:

I was excited by the time I got home that I could not go to sleep until 1AM!!! I had to be up by 7AM! I wanted to share my good news with the super members here! I am going to graduate on June 3rd which is just a little over five weeks away! :school: Yeah, yeah, yeah!!! Don't mind me I am just happy!

It is supposed to be a beautiful day here! I have to go to a meeting this morning then I need to proofread my work before mailing it to the committee. I also have to drive to Burley, ID to work with my clients there. I should be home by late evening!

Here is Bill walking on the clouds! :cloud9:

Off day for me today, prob gonna be a bird room day, for most of the day, gotta spend the day with EVERYTHING around here, or they get mad LOL.Prob let the birds fling their water on me, while i'm down below the cages cleaning up , and let them scream in "tune" with the vaccuum LOL.
Let's see, spoil the birds this morning, and then work on the aquariums after,,the dogs get their time in between all of this:funny:

Good morning to everyone. It's a windy day here in Tampa, FL. Possible chance of rain later. Windy days are anxious days around our house, cuz Jack our dog hears the back gate creak every time the wind blows. He thinks someone's coming through the gate so he's gotta bark.

Yesterday was laundry day and errand day, so today is cleaning day. Maybe I'll treat myself to a video afterward to rest. I have quite a few recorded on the DVR and need to watch them.

Bailey has settled into his routine and enjoys traveling from room to room with me throughout the day as I go about my daily routine.

Well, the house isn't going to clean itself, I guess I better get started. :)

:sunshines Good Morning Everyone! I am a bit late since it just tirned noon here on the west coast.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/graphics/sunshinesmileylg.gif Sending some smiley sunshine your way!
The sun is shining along with some beautiful fluffy white clouds. When a day starts off like this it makes me think how fortunite I am.

Sue, you are right, it is wonderful to have all the new members join.

Keisti, Shirley mentioned what you need to get to avoid the food dish removal . These are the type I use on Elvie's travel cage. If they are not close by, how about the stainless type that is screwed on a shaft bolt, that would allow you to drill a hole in a solid wood perch like we did on Elvie's manzanita perch on top his cage. I also used that style on Elvies travel bird carrier/playstand.

Shirley, I am always happy to hear when one of your baby Bourke's goes to a new loving home.

Bill, it sounds ike you will be haveing a busy day. Enjoy as much of it as you can.

Majj, I hope you get a good nights sleep and can have a productive day tomorrow.

Junkzoo, it sounds like you will be having fun, at leat your birds will be happy to get all spanking new cages once you've finished.

Vicki, I know what you mean. My day usually starts out with getting up, making the bed, then off to a cup of coffee, then a quick wisk throug the house with the vacume and mop , and dusting, then off to the bathroom to tidy that up before I am back to the kitchen for another sit down cup of coffee to read the morning paper. Then it's hubby and Elvie time. After that, its BoF check in time, then it is what ever is needed throught the day. :scratchch No wonder I get tired at the end of the day. Who ever said retirement is all fun and play never knew me.

Jean, I spent the good part of the day in the bird room,(the parrots luved it!:highfive: )
All cages top to bottom, walls, and even shampoo'ed the carpet! cleaned the air filter, pretty much everything!
Sinbad, my 'Too enjoyed the day on top of his cage, most time was spent trying to mess with me!And let me know when i did not take time with him enough to his liking(which was all the time, if you ask him:wub: ) everyone got a spray mist/bath,and extra goodies to munch on when i was done,,altho i was very tired when finished , it was a good tired.Have checked in the bird room a number of times since i had finished, just to see how nice the room was,,,until the "flinging" starts again LOL

Took all day to get time to say "hello" to y'all!! Made a trip to the big city of Springfield..traveled down the streets with all the other vehicles and didn't even bump into one! (Our little town of Ava is a real easy town..and everyone knows my car, so my turns and stops are kinda expected...not so in the city!) Took care of the business, and was ever so glad to get back to the rural area..went the long way home to take a road that has gorgeous dogwood and redbud trees flowering...so, by the time we hit the road to the farm, my nerves were all soothed and my blood pressure had returned to normal! I have another trip tomorrow...but someone else will drive...two of the cocker pups have new homes waiting, and they will get their vet checks tomorrow and be shipped via airline Friday...Little Teeny-Tiny has a new home waiting too, but she will have to wait a bit before she will be big enuf to fly. She is a real carry-around-cocker and is so very small! Her new home Momma is a teacher, and her new Daddy a dentist...so she will be well loved! So, we just have one little boy and one little girl left...but they are still shy of being 8 weeks old, so I am sure we will get a call for them too...Lili seems to be ready to put motherhood up on the shelf for a bit too!!
Think my housework will have to wait until Thursday this week..and I don't think the house fairies will surprise me !

Jean,

I did have a busy day! I am ready to relax! Here is how it went: I got to work, went to the morning meeting we have, then I proofed the last two chapters before writing letters to my committee members, then I went to the post office to mail them and spent $80 to mail them all as well as the return postage. Then I drove to our other office where I saw seven clients before driving back here. Now I have Scooter out with me. Man am I tired! But I am thinking about going to a movie for fun after Scooter goes to bed. Whew! Whirlwind!

OH MY! I'm wore out all over again just reading all you all have accomplished today!

Well, I finished the audio on a senior photo montage and the mom is coming to preview it tomorrow afternoon... it's a surprise for her daughter, then I'll make copies to DVD for her and a custom cassette case and disc cover, and put music to the other one tomorrow, and hopefully work on the wedding editing some tomorrow. Have a wedding to shoot this Saturday and another next Saturday...

Jeff - http://shirleymorgan.com/misc/BF/em/TakePictures.gif we want to see your birdies!

Gini, seems Lily just gave birth and now they're all leaving already!

How's your baby Bourke's doing? Got another pic for us? Kilroy's new two are almost ready to climb out of the nest box!

Well, I'm going to bed early tonight... You all have a nice evening!

 night night!

WOW Jeff! you said clean you meant all clean!!! :goodjob: I'll bet, you have some very happy birds tonight. It sounds like you need a relaxing evening, maybe a little fun bird time.

Only having one U2 cleaning is much easier for me. Even though Elvie can be a royal PIG at times.

Thanks, for the update.:)

My goodness Bill, you did have a full schedule. The heartreaking part of it after all the expenses you encountered today your checkbook must feel wounded, "ouch". That postage can add up fast. I have had to pay a hefty sum for some in depth medical records.

I hope you can take in a movie, it will do you some good. If you do, let us know what you see. Have a good night. :grouphug:

Thanks Jean! I went to Sahara...it was great! I have read many of Clive Cussler's books and have enjoyed them thoroughly. I read Atlantis Found and it was extremely good! It is out in paperback. You might like it!

I've heard it is good, a friend of mine has just about finished it too. I will be at the book store tomorrow and pick it up.

Thanks,
