Sonja, our Mini Schnauzer

This is Sonja, our Mini Schnauzer. She is 9 yrs old, and doesn't pay any attention to the birds one way or the other. We never leave her alone with them, however. Holly is determined to sneak up on her and deliver a nasty bite for no reason whatsoever, so I never ever leave them alone together,.. not for a second!

What a great dog, Sonja. Beautiful name, too. How long has she been around the birds? Jack is still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too curious we have to watch him all the time, he likes to get up next to the cage and be face to face with Bailey.

Sonja was 5 when we got Kilroy. It took awhile, but eventually she learned. When we got Shelby (bare-eyed cockatoo) 9 mos later, she really learned to stay away from the birds. I think the fact we have so many now, she just gave up. When a baby finch got out and fluttered around, the real test, Sonja looked away and left the room like she was in trouble!

I never trust her. She's a dog. :agree:
