outside not the best as I tend to be the only one at home when I want to take pictures on a nice day so they don't turn out as well trying to hold the snake and get some good shots..hopefully this weekend will be nice and hubby can help get some all new pictures of the reptiles, birds and other animals

Thanks, After seeing my first adult Lavender corn couple years ago I wanted one but the price for these guys was a bit high which is not common with the not so common cornsnakes at least around here. prices are finally coming down and this one was not bad at all I decide to snag this one up at a local exotics show in oregon glad I did. I think with the such great color now he is going to be a stunning adult. We also have a Female baby Coral Snow Corn and a adult Female Normal Okeetee Corn Snake that we have had for about 3 1/2 years..can ya tell we like the corn snakes..lol we also have a female Ball Python.

don't they though..when they mature they have such a slight raised textrue not quite as smooth when they are babies, thats why I enjoy the ball pythons no matter what age they feel smooth and so do the Taiwan Beauties.

Fingers are shaking now, but I was very brave looking at your snake. How big do they get and what do they get fed? What do your other animals make of your snakes

Corn snake average size for both males and females is about 5 feet in lengthbut they don't get big girth wise and stay rather small around which makes them easily handleable to give an idea this is a picture of our adult 3 1/2 year old female corn to give you an idea of size here she is wrapped about my arm

So they don't get to be huge snakes. All our corn snakes once they reach adult hood are eating small to medium frozen Thawed mice. Our Two baby cornsnakes the one we just bought and our other baby we got back in oct are eating frozen thawed small fuzzy mice. I prefer not to feed live just due to the fact if the snake is not hungry they won't eat it and I would have to keep it alive till the snake was hungry again kind of an inconvenience plus there have been cases of mice and rats attacking a non-hungry snake and doing serious damage so anymore now days feeding live is a necessity. We buy our mice in bulk offline and they are shipped to our house in a big box with insulation and dry ice to keep them frozen then in the freezer they go we just thaw them in hot water in a ziplock sandwich bag to heat them when we feed as a snake won't eat it if is not warm...

our other animals pay no mind to the snakes except the cats like to sleep by the heat lamps but other than that my animals don't bother them at all as we have a room just for our reptiles.

shipping reptiles has always made me nervouse thats why we have always bought when we have gone to the shows I worry if the reptile will actually get to the destinantion it's suppose to I have heard way to many horror stories of reptiles being stuck in shipping for weeks after they were suppose to be delivered being routed and re-routed. We are going to check our locally and down in oregon as we are familiar with the breeder our lavander corn came from we have met him before at shows and see if he can recommend someone..the gal we got our adult female from actually came to our house with about 6 different babies and let us pick what we wanted it was pretty cool. But your offer is definantly very very tempting..hmm may have to talkto hubby and let him know.

I've always liked the corn snakes and the ball pythons. The pet shops here get alot of candy corn babies and snows but they never specify what kind of snow.

As far as I know you have Snow Corns, Bubble Gum Snows and what we have which is a Coral Snow Corn and depending on what genetics mom and dad have you can have Snow Motley Corn Snake and there is also a Blizzard Corn Snake which I have seen marked as Snow Corns, most common is the plain Snow Corn..

I see that alot in the stores they don't know the name of them some just call them Fancy corn snakes if they are not the normal corn. But prices on corns in stores is just amazing double what you can get them for from a reptile expo we got our coral snow corn for $35.00.. our normal okeetee was only $25..we paid $45 for our Ball python...and the Taiwan Beauty we had we only paid $35(she passed away two weeks ago) ..course I paid alot for my Lavender but they are still relatively new and pretty much if it's new it's expensive I could of waited another year or two for the price to go down but figured what the heck.

The prices on the Albino Ball pythons is till pretty up there another snake on my wish list..lol. Hubby just read on craigslist for seattle that someone has a Taiwan Beauty baby for sale they want $100 but it comes with tank and everything so when you figure in price of the snake, price of the tank even a 10 gallon here is like $40 at most petstores, heat bulb, fixture and everything $100 is about right for all of it totaled or a little under. Hubby is planning on calling to see if they are firm on their price....sometimes if person knows it's going to a home with people who are familiar with reptiles they will drop the price a bit...got my fingers crossed on that one along with the Corn Snakes I have taken a liking to the Taiwan Beautys
