I saw my girls again last night, I forgot to take pictures of them in their new big girl cage at the store. It was kinda funny when last week they all charged out of the brooder at the clerk, but it wasn't quite as amusing this week when it was me trying to to keep everyone inside. It was alot liek tryign to keep the lid on a can of worms, lol.

In the cage there are 3 peachies from the same brood. Whoever go thet oldest peach ie is lucky, what a sweet calm bird, Zoe is the middle child and what a wild woman she is! I left from the pet shop straight to Barnes and Nobles for The Guide to a Well Behaved Parrot! What a little handful! The baby of the brood is not adopted yet, she is a color mutation, light grey face with a sea green body..pretyy but Lord help her new owners, lol...when I went in to pick up Zoe, that baby latched on to the skin in on the back of my hand like a little pitbull, lol. Zoe tried to stow away in my sleeve, but I told her she had to stay awhiel longer until she could feed ehrself liek a big girl.:funny:

They added four more lutino 'tiels to the the baby cage, I am not even sure I held Stella, I could rule 3 of them out as having too short of a crest and being way too light, but I had a hard time telling the other three apart. I was telling my dh the one I held (I would have liked to have held all of them but my kids were losing patience with me and needed to go get their dinner, lol) was loud and crying to be fed, Dan told me "Ours is the quietest one!" LOL Well that is progress..at least now he refers to her as "ours". Whatever makes me happy makes him happy, but he isn't much of a bird person, he's patient and he tolerates it well but he's about as much of a bird person as I am a football fan, lol.

It must be so much fun picking out your baby bird and holding it so that it gets used to you and grows to love you. You get to see them grow up and change as they fledge into adulthood.

I like reading your story so please keep us informed.. and would love to see pics of those cute babies.

Well then you must be the smartest.:D I always heard the youngest were the smartest because they had the older siblings to learn from.

Hi Kelly, I can tell you fit in so well here, lol

When Jim does overstep the mark let us know and all us gals will gang up on him for you. hehehehe

I'm really thrilled reading your posts and sharing your excitement, it really is great I can still remember the excitement I felt when I knew Bucc was nearly ready to come home, it always felt like he was NEARLY READY, but then the time soon came, its easy to say that now but the waiting nearly made me go round the bend, I'm not the most patient of people.

Look forward to seeing the pics when you grow another hand, guess you could always sit on the kids, always works for me. LOL

LOL Are you being a suck up now Jim? LOL :funny: Either that or you are the baby of your family, lol.

Yeah, they saw it in the little rascals episode where Spanky glued the baby to teh floor with a black glue type stuff, so they thoguth they woudl glue my walking shoes to the driveway with super glue. ANother example of why television and lack of supervision is nto good for kids, lol.

LOL Thanks! I can't imagine being patient and waiting for your large parrot baby to come home..that has got to be killer. LOL Sitting would work on the boys, they are still small (5 yo is in a 5T and the 3 yo is in a 3T) but my 8 yo daughter...I only have about a foot and 40 pounds on her. I can still take her when we play now, like when I lay on top of her and pretend to be asleep, but I am beginning to get the feeling she is being easy on me, lol, and in another year or two she's gonna take me down, lol.
