She is such a skilled flier, if you look at her wings they are clipped but growing back in, even with her missing all those flight feathers she still flies perfect and can fly in circles around my house with no problem.

These pics are great, and Look at Harley! the only birds we have the will take a shower on their own are: the Whydah finches, Play-Doh (only in his water bowl), sometimes Michelle (only in her water bowl, and that's it! Even Tucker 'tiel thinks showers or getting wet is a big no-no!

Leah, Like you doing dishes, Sharon was trying to make a meat loaf and he wouldn't stay out of the sink. Carzy birds.

Note: Not sure who knows what but Teo was young here and still had stress bars. They are common in young macaws, they are just that, a bar across the feather that froms at a stressfull time in there life.

I love the:heart: picture of Nino!!!! Not to take away from Teo of course just as cute and all great pictures!! but that last one of Nino is awesome, I love how you can see the water spraying on him and he looks like he is in heaven!!! they are just so beautiful and you have another sink waterbaby :thumbup:


I don't know what it is about the sink, Doo and Einstein both love to play in the sink too. Einstein is usually a sink hog wish I could get him on video he is the funniest thing and hops from one side of the sink to the other and then jumps on the counter and goes sliding and runs back over and jumps in the sink and does it all over again.:funny: I tried to get him this morning but he was more interested in eating the apples.

Thanks everyone for the comments on Akeela & Sinbad's pics. I was running the vacuum and noticed them in there, so I kept it running while I took the pics. Sinbad sure gets into his bath, expecially when he knows I'm noticing him and encouraging him. Akeela was having a ball too, she would splash then go attack those toys above her, was too cute.

Ginny, I am suprised how they do stick their beaks so far into the water. Maybe they know how to hold their breath, lol.

I don't think they get as wet as they can, I think everything else gets wetter than them, but they sure do have fun doing it :nuts:

Well, Play-Doh is our most "bathing" bird as far as taking a bath on his own... and yesterday his water dish had about 1/16" water in it around 10 in the morning as I made rounds to give everyone their breakfast... then I saw Play-Doh, sitting on his perch giving me this look....
