Help!

I can't use my old avatar.
I didn't try and upload from my computer, I entered the url as i have a 'photobucket' (as I knew if I tried to upload they'd be too big)
But it's STILL says it's too big! I don't understand.... I thought if you entered a URL it didn't matter how big it was :(:cry::shrug2::confused:

Kristi, I use photo bucket too. All you have to do is go to photo bucket

1. Copy the pic you want to save to your pictures in your computer for the avitar, make sure the size is small enough or re'size it.

2: Come back here go to your CP, edit avitar, click brouse in your pictures, that opens your picture file in your computer. Find the picture you have saved as your avitar, click on it and you shoud be ready to close and have your pic in your avitar.

Jean - sorry should have been more clear - I know they need resizing, that's what I couldn't understand, I thought they wouldn't if using the url link!
It's not easy for me to resize....would have to do at home and don't have photoshop on the home pc.

Kristie, you don't need Photoshop to resize.

Just open a Photobucket account, it's free http://www.photobucket.com

upload the pics from you computer by pressing the browse button. There is an option to upload multiple pics.
Hit submit and your pic will appear.
Click on edit and it gives you the option to resize, it's already set at 50% click resize and it changes the size.

To get your pics on here, open both browsers open a new post in BoF, highlight the url line at the bottom of your pic on Photobucket.. right click, hit copy go back into BoF and right click in the message box hit paste and your pic is there:twirl: It is easy.

That is what I was doing :)
it said sorry that file is too big. (to use for avatar)
I didn't know you could resize them in pb - but I don't want them resized - only for the avatar if you see what I mean?

when you try to use new avatar, it says either browse your pc or use url - so i used the url from my the pic, from photobucket, and then it said that file is too big.

If you post the URL, I'll be happy to resize it for you.

Just as an FYI, the software limits even URL's for avatar so that dialup users don't spend all day downloading avatars instead of the page content. It's not just to be mean. ;)
