Hello to everyone! I happened to see the Forum mentioned on The Reef Tank, and thought i would join and say Hi to everyone, Shirley is a dear friend of mine, and she can probably vouch for me being here LOL. Will check out this board more in the morning, since i just got home from work, and my eyes are starting to cross. Will also post my experience in Bird/Parrots ASAP, and everything else that most of probably don't want to hear,,;)

Well, inna nutshell, peanut, palm ,walnut whatever kind LOL,,
1-Med sulpher-crested 'Too,(Sinbad) bought him(my second bird aftera 'tiel)in '79,,wild caught(gotta remember it was 1979) totally tame/bonded to me,,

1- Blue -front Amazon (Gumby) Got him from a LFS my sister worked at , (i managed the other store in the "chain" (of two)) hand raised, but turned totally nutzo toward me when he/she became sexually mature,,,

1 - Alexandrine- he was a adopted bird (from my sister, who adopted it from a friend of hers, she was wary of her young boys getting fingers in the cage, so i adopted it. lost this beautiful bird about 6 -8 months ago, unknown cause,,,had it about 6-7 years,,,

1- Yellow -collared Macaw- Sunshine was a adopted bird also, very bonded to me , would fly across the house to be near me, and regurg "feed" me(good thing i knew this was a "good " thing LOL. lost Sunshine about 2 years ago also, still miss/ think about her,,,

1- Sunshine(pre-named) from my sister also, who got it from another friend who could not keep it any longer,A Senegal, not that friendly, has a few "issues" minor plucking,,,but still a nice bird,,,(does better with no attention/ interaction)Spent it's prev life in Hawaii,,,(lucky boid):funny:

2- tiels, male /female, mama lays non viable eggs (the two are separated)
My wife got these birds, and of late does not do that much with them , so I have "adopted" them, good birds ,very animated,

To add, my reef tanks, 4 mini-doxies(all adopted/rescued) 2 German Shepherds(ditto, one adopted, one rescued) the adopted one was a son of my cousin's Police K9 dog, and was to be used on a local town soon to be K9 unit, the unit never happened , so the officer did not want the "extra" burden of a dog that was not going to be a working "partner" . when i found out about it (being a son of my cousin's dog) i made sure i was the one to get him here,,,everything here enjoys the good life LOL and most all of them eat better than me/us !
Thanks for the kind words Shirley, and the same to you,
You are a super great person to know, and a fine fixture to this board!:biggthump
Pics o ' the feathered friends(and prob everyone else too) will follow , hopefully soon, and i get everything together around here,,,

Hi Jeff!! You sound like you'll add some great wisdom, hehehe

I think it's awesome you've given your home to those birds in need!! I believe that too, as I have just adopted my 2 birds in Feb. It is a wonderful feeling to give a bird a much needed loving home :agree:
