Hi there, my name is Barb, and Jean was so kind to send me a link http://9.forumer.com/html/emoticons/bof/tighthug.gif
I'm an advocate for birds, and is my passion.
I currently have a CAG who is almost 3. Her name is Akeela. She is my very 1st parrot, and have worked wonders bringing her out of her shell. She is a ham all the way, and loves to talk, talk, talk!!! I brought her home just a little bit after she turned 1, from a pet store. She was so lonely sitting there, I just had to bring her home.
Since then, I've realized the need for birds who have been given up or rescued is so great, I had to step in and 'do' something about it.
I recently adopted another CAG (male) Sinbad & U2 (male) Turkey, in February. Sinbad is a feather plucker, and has adjusted wonderfully, even getting new feathers in!! Turkey had some domance issues at 1st, but is adjusting to the boundaries set in my home. He is another character all the way!! I just love all of them!!!
Can't wait to jump in!!
