Skyler's walk in the park

Troy and I took Skyler for a walk today leaving at 4:00, and we ended up not returning until 6:00! First stop was the city Park, where we met a grandmother who is deaf and thus doesn't talk, and she LOVED Skyler, and held him and petted him a lot, and wrote notes asking all sorts of questions. Her grandkids weren't as interested as she was! Then on the way home via the downtown courthouse we went to BlockBuster to rent a video - Skyler acted like it was no big deal. The guy behind the counter wanted to keep him 'til his shift was over! Skyler hopped right up on his shoulder and started grinding his beak and closing his eyes! He was ready to take a nap on a total stranger! Once again, I didn't think to bring my camera... I promise next time... he was so sweet with the lady in the park and she just loved him to pieces! If Holly had agreed to wear her harness, she'd have been with us, too.

It's good to read about Skyler's outing even if his mom forgot her camera.. He sounds like such a sweethreart. I am glad Skyler had a fun day.

Elvie spent a good part of today playing and watching the snowfall out the windows.
It is to cold to take him out with the current wind chill of 26 degrees...with snow falling.

SNOW!!!!!!! I had the A/C on today. It was 84 this afternoon.

You and he come on up together! What fun!!! We have extra winter coats, both men's and women's and snowsuits, too! And sleds and saucers and hot chocolate and oatmeal and you just come up!!!
