Welcome to BoF David!!
Here's a poll we had on what foods people feed: http://www.thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1417
I guess I din't reply on this thread  But I feed my birds a mixture of pellets (Roudybush, Zuprem natural & fruit, Harrisons) and mixed dried fruit/veggies that have a bit of seed, oats & other goodies. I also feed breakfast of either fruit, oatmeal, or eggs. Their dinner consists of Mash (sweet potato, frozen veggie mix, brown rice or noodles) and birdie bread sprinkled on top (corn bread w/mash, a bit of peanut butter, natural apple sauce, oatmeal (dried) some Palm oil, and whole egg-shell and all) Nuts on occasion.
Others may be different, but as long as it is healthy for you, it is for them.
I thought there is a list of safe foods, but can't seem to find it. I will look, unless someone else here can find it sooner & post.
Feel free to look around and make yourself at home!!

Welcome David! Keep him on what he's used to and add what he should have - make the changes gradually to a healthy diet. Maybe what he's been on is good, but usually not as "complete" as it should be, unless he came from a home breeder who is very in tune with care and feeding their babies.
Ours all get fresh sprouts ( See the Elements of Bird Card and Practical Links forums for details on sprouts - bird sprouts) daily or almost daily, fresh raw veggies, some of whatever we have for dinner so long as there's no salt, sugar, etc added, (read from the two forums I mentioned what's safe and what's dangerous regarding foods and plants), plus Goldenfeast Hookbill Legume as their foundation of dry seed/nuts/grains. We used to feed Roudybush pellets, but since I'm home and can prepare daily for them (a number of birds here) we no longer feed pellets, BUT if you aren't able to do this, then by all means, choose a healthy natural pellet such as Roudybush or Harrisons. You can order these online - just do a search. Avoid pellets with artificial colors. Zupreem makes a natural pellet now, I believe, and so does Goldenfeast.
Check out the Macaw forum for more info, and post more Macaw questions there!

Welcome David, this is the place for help of any sort its a great site
Hi David,:wavey: WELCOME to BoF:wavey: . I had a colleague in the North East.
Food wise mine love sweet potato, normal potato, broccoli, sweetcorn all cooked and mashed, with a tiny bit of cheese (birds love cheese but not wise to give too much), roll into sausage shapes...yum they love it.
Also avocado, coffee and chocolate are a big no no!!
We also love pic's:agree:
Enjoy the board.
Hi David! :wavey: I am glad you joined us. Congratulations! for being a new parrot parent.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/welcome%20-%20friendship/Welcome-pumpkin.jpg Is your Hahn's a baby or mature adult bird? That has a lot to do with his eating habits. Shirley and others have posted a lot of good nutritional information for you. We are all very happy to work with you as much as possible.
I wish you a lifetime of joy with your new companion bird.

Hello and Welcome.
We all offer our birds what we feel is a good diet and it varies from person to person we all feed differently
I offer my birds a good quality seed mix, zupreem natural pellets, a variety of fresh veggies along with some fruit, sprouts, and cooked foods and even make special bird bread for them.

Hi David and WELCOME to BoF :wavey:
We feed ours on Zupreem Natural pellets, but they are not easy to get at the mo - (which is worrying)
I heard Harrisons is really good, but it's also very expensive....
