No kidding on your birds eating better,,,than me ! LOL
As soon as the sun rises a bit more , and they get to stirrin',,,
Refill food seed/pellet mix, millet day today, dry pasta , apple pieces, mini carrots, (shredded for Coral,,the Rosy Bourke),and whatever treats i scrounge up from the kitchen,,,
Added: Seedless grapes(not from Chili,,,rinsed well) and some broccoli and some Lafebers NutriBerries(luckily i get them at wholesale price from Lafebers, darn things are not cheap,,even at the 5lb box size:doh: )
PS: Any of you local birdie moms n dads, let me know if you ever want to order Lafebers items;) , i can get 25# boxes o' pellets, 5# boxes o' nutriberries etc. , at wholesale $$$$,,,:agree: )
WAY cheaper than the marked up prices at the shops,,,,
Me: coffee, prob a bagel,,or maybe oatmeal since it's a lil nippy outside this mornin',since i have to do the daily chores with the Shepherds in their kennels in the pole barn.

well today was not quite as elaborate around here as we had some thing to get done today, errands to run so they got their normal seed and pellets but will get sprouts, steamed pumpkin and some other veggies later on this evening..so they at least get something good at least once a day even if we are busy..on the days it's not so hectic I am a better slave when it comes to food.
Morning: (yesterday)
Scrambled egg w/green pepper, apple and a little white cheese.
Soaked seed and grain in separate bowls.
Seed mix w/pellet that stays all day most of the time. (separate bowls)
Afternoon:
Usually a small treat/snack. Popcorn (in a bag), salt free cracker, 15 grain toasted bread (small amount of jelly sometimes) etc. This varies.
Dinner: (yesterday)
Steamed carrots and broccoli, Kale, radishes w/tops, slice of orange, whole grain pasta lightly cooked, cooked bean/grain mix and a few nuts.
Evenings, after dinner, all the nuts they want.
Here's today's meals. Yes, he often eats better then we do.
Breakfast
(His) scrambled eggs with broccoli, sprinkle in wheat germ and cheddar cheese
(Ours) coffee, a bowl of cold cereal
Lunch
(His) birdie waffle filled with mixed veges
(Ours) a bowl of tomato soup with a few crackers
Dinner
(His) chicken wing, yams, sweet peas
(Ours) chicken breast, yams, peas
Snacks
(Him) bird nutrition bar
(Ours) a few pieces of homemade fudge
When he goes night, night, he always gets a small amount of healthy seed mix with dried fruit and a few pellets, and a few Nutri-berries in his treat holder.

She and I had french toast and orange juice for breakfast. For dinner she and I had a Southwest Steak and Cheese from Subway with spinach instead of lettuce and all the other veggies including carrot. I had a Bud Light, she had apple juice and water. For supper she and I had a Veggie Lovers Pizza from Pizza Hut. I finished off the Bud Light, she had grape juice and water. For dessert she had frozen (thawed) strawberries/blueberries. I had lime sherbet. She also tasted my sherbet but it was too cold for her.
I know... I know... I didn't feed her right. Well, it was Sunday and she watched TV with her daddy from 10:20 AM until 7:15 PM so she ate what her daddy ate. And yes I know I am creating a velcro bird and that isn't good, but she is a sweet girl and she deserves it.
Funny thing... Yesterday, Sunday, when I would get up, she would say... "Where you going ???" This morning when I got up to take her back to her cage, she said.."Get ready for work.."
Besides, I can rationalize it by saying "Not all birds are the same..."

yep sounds like weekends around not only do they get their normal foods but they also get bites of whatever we are eating with the exception of chocolate, avacado, onion ..our grey especially likes fetticini alfredo and a piece of garlic toast she sits in my lap and nibbles off my plate, funny thing with her is she is not happy with a smalll piece of garlic toast that she can hold in her stubby little toes (she is missing toes on both feet) nope she wants the whole piece off my plate she does not believe in sharing so it's a bit of a battle to keep my garlic toast to be able to enjoy some myself.. Our birds love pizza crust with a bit of cheese and sauce on it,crackers, popcorn, a bit or our sandwiches etc. we do it in moderation and they get a small bite or piece
