Elvie sporting his new jacket in his travel bird carrier

Elvie his daddy and I went for a little ride last week, on the way home I stopped at the grocery store. Al put Elvie on the hood of the car to enjoy some sunshine while I was in the store. So when I came out and saw the two of them there looking so cute, I grabbed my camera from the car to get this picture.

Do you make the clothes? I love the car seat. I would love to convert a seat, do you have any pointers?

I love this pic!! This is a good item for the DIY forum with the how-to!
Jenell, I had to do a lot of figuration to come up with this one. I will try to write out my plans and steps taken to convert it in the DIY forum like shirley mentiond. It has been the most practical portable travel carrier/play stand for Evie. I have also lined the seat with heavy clear plastic. One thing I prefer is it provides some shelter behind the bird when it is on a unfamiliar outing. You can also pull up the handle and attach additional toys to preen or play with.

Ginny,I found this one at Wal-Mart. It was designed for a pampered pooch. The only alterations needed was turning the arms into pockets instead of arms. Pretty clever hah! (Again, :emot-danc I used my wild imagination)The minute I saw it I knew I could make it work very simple. Wallah! a birdie jacket! Then I have a dear friend with a (wild imagination) that dreamed up the custom decor for it!
Well I think it is great. I think Elvie is the best dressed bird in the world. :agree:
Ginny, here is his baby carrier with just a roll tied on to the tray to make it more comfortable, This is before I decided how to convert it into his travel bird carrier/play station. He's looking over his shoulder watching some tiny birds.

Well I guess you can call it imagination but It is a LOT of talent. I love it. They cost so much to buy on the internet. I looked one time and they were 35.00 to 45.00. :scratchch

Thanks! Those prices you found are terrible. This was very inexpensive at Wal Mart. I guess, I was lucky to find it there.
