Hello Everyone. I've joined your group and am looking forward to chatting with you. I'm Saltyzoo's (Greg's) wife. We just added a stray Sun Conure to our family of saltwater fish and an American Eskimo dog.
We've named the Sun Conure Bailey as I think we're going to keep him. We've searched newspapers, called vets and bird hospitals, and even talked to pet stores in the area. No one has lost a Sun Conure. He may have come from Busch Gardens, but if so, they don't want him back as they don't want birds that have escaped.
We've already adjusted our family life to include the new addition. He's precious and so adorable. We're not to the cuddly stage yet. He's still getting used to being inside and having people around.
He does a lot of head bobbing. Does anyone know what that means?
I'm an author of women's fiction and stay at home so I'm able to give Bailey as much attention as he can handle.
Hi Vicki, I am glad to see you made it over with your hubby.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I appreciate it.
Thanks for the "heads up" on the bobbing question. I was hoping it meant something positive.

Bailey knows he's special all right.
I'm really glad that we were able to help make this new forum a reality. I know Greg put in a lot of hard work on it as did all the other team members. Everyone really got it together in record time. I was impressed with all the teamwork and talent.

Hi Vickie!! SO glad to meet you!! We do have a couple interests in common as well....
I lived in Clearwater, Port Richie FL. for 8yrs before moving here.
I LOVE American Eskimo's as a breed!!!! They are my absolute fav (besides my rottie of course ;)
I normally don't read alot of books, lol. Usually my research is online about birds or something of that fashion. Having a 4yo and my fids at home during the day, keeps me very occupied :D
Can't wait to chat w/you more!

oops.. can't forget the 13yr old.. at that age, they're a bit unforgettable. All 3 of my kids are all grown up and graduated from high school. My middle daughter is getting married in November. She wants a wedding on the beach, so that's what we're trying to pull together. My oldest daughter eloped, so this is the first wedding in the family.
