Anyone who keeps parrots should read this book. Anyone considering a parrot, should read this book first.
You will love it;
I didn't see how the book could do the movie about parrots justice, even though the book was written first. Now I don't see how the movie can do this book justice! I think it takes BOTH... the movie to see the parrots, and the book to get what really happened... inside the author's head and out in life. You gotta read it! (no, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I heard the DVD will be released Jan '06)

When you get the book, DON'T read the cast of characters in the back of the book before finishing the book. Fortunately, I didn't find that section until I finished the book.

I found some wonderful Websites last night, some with audio of the parrots and one with a short video clip of Mark feeding the parrots! Really beautiful! Be careful... there are "spoilers" in the text on these sites... READ the book! :dance: :heart:

I emailed and asked but doesn't look the dvd will be available in UK. Therefore it will be NTSC version only and not work here anyway :( what a shame!

I'll bet you anything they'll make both versions. Videographers here make weddings and other events in PAL all the time...

Jim, you'll love it! It harmonizes beautifully with your philosophy and understanding of parrots. It's an evolving experience that courses over about 6 yrs... it's truly wonderful!

Oh right, well that would be cool!
I think it's daft having different versions anyway!
