Today I had Holly on the picnic table with me and was talking to her. She was saying her usual "Hello" and making the usual "Kiss" noises at my face. I decided to try to teach her "I love you!" again. So, a few times over I said, with passion, I Love You, Holly, I Love You! I Love You! and so on.
She then looked at me, and did something she's not done before... regurgitated all her corn and broccoli up for me! OMG! Not at all what I expected, but amazing she got the meaning of what I was saying!!!

haha! Well, you know they regurgitate their dinner as a huge show of love for their mate... :rotflmao:
:emot-danc None of mine have ever done that, although Toto sometimes looks like he is about to.

 Hopefully, she'll learn to say it soon, instead of showing you ! Of course, she'll probably end up doing both.
Awwww Mom, Holly was supplying the corn and broccoli for the picnic... had you cooked the burgers it would have been offical. ;)
Cute story

Sammie used to do that to me too. Then, I'd have her on the floor playing with her and she started making a really strange sound and walking with one wing dipped lower than the other and after that, she got mean and started biting me. So, I did some research and it seems this was her mating call and walk and I wasn't satisfying her. The article said to not let them regurgitate on you because it starts the whole process. I have to pull my hand away when she trys. Makes me sad but I don't want my girl being sexually frustrated, ya know?:shrug2:

Holly's been dropping her wings low and making "piggy" or "puppy" noises with her wings dropped low and extended out from her body since before she was a year old... her pre-adolescent stuff, and her breeder explained all that, and while I don't encourage it, she's never bit me b/c of it. She gets her cuddles and plays, but if she gets too carried away, we just turn to some clicker training fun and she likes that even better.

I should add, Shirley, I was rubbing her legs, butt, tail, wings, you name it. Hey, I didn't know she considered it foreplay!:funny:

Einstein does that too all of the time:D I was concerned at first and consulted a lady considered an expert ion greys and she pretty much told me to feel lucky, enjoy it and thank him. So I do and totally take advantage of it because it is when he is it his sweetest and so gentle with me.

Yeah, Sammie picked up one of my naughty phrases.:( I really watch my mouth now but she hasn't forgotten it. I can be upstairs and hear her downstairs saying, Oh ****! She uses the right tone too.
Sometimes, she sounds like ET on helium gas when she's practicing. "Mumble....."
What a source of entertainment these birds are. How did I ever manage without her?
Even my clients can't say "creatively"!!
I'd say she can speak better english then some adults! :rotflmao:
