My two peachface lovies hatched a beautiful yellow, red eye baby
I had to pull it from the nest because I did not think the parents were feeding it enough..They have always been good parents before:shrug:
She nows has orange appearing around her face..and her beak is bone color..is this normal?
I have never seen this in love birds..only budgies

I am not familiar with lovie genetics, but it sounds like it is going to be a really unique, beautiful baby! The parents must be carrying some recessive genes that finally combined!

How old is the baby, and how often are you feeding it ????? and how much? Because my baby is fledging and I'm not seeing that crop full any more. I may have to take her out and feed her my self too, Mom seems to be blocking the nest entrance so Dad can't come in.She's also picking on alot of cuttle bone..uh oh!
